When you buy a koi from Crystal Creek Koi Farm, you're not just getting a beautiful fish — you're getting peace of mind. Since 2026, we've maintained strict bio-security protocols designed to protect our operations and, more importantly, your pond.
Our Core Bio-Security Rules
Once a Fish Leaves, It Never Returns
This is perhaps our most important rule: once a fish leaves one of our facilities, it is NEVER allowed back. That means even if we take a fish to a show and it wins a ribbon, it is sold or given away — no exceptions. This eliminates any risk of a fish being re-exposed to outside pathogens and bringing them back into our facility.
No Imports. No Brokers.
We do not import any Koi or Goldfish, and we do not purchase fish from brokers. This gives us complete control over the health history of every fish in our care. We know exactly where our fish come from — because we raised them.
We Know Our Bloodlines
Because we raise our own fish, we know the bloodlines of every Koi and Goldfish in our collection. That means we can say with some certainty how a fish will develop as it matures — in terms of pattern, color, and conformation. It also means we know our fish are disease-free. We put our name on the line guaranteeing that every fish we sell is strong, healthy, and has never been exposed to exotic diseases.
SVCv-Free Fish — Always
It is paramount to us that all of our fish are SVCv-free (Spring Viremia of Carp virus) and pose no biological threat to any Koi hobbyist's pond or retailer's fish stock. SVCv is a serious viral disease that can devastate a pond, and we take every precaution to ensure it never enters our facility — or yours.
Why This Matters to You
Introducing a new fish to an established pond always carries some risk. Our bio-security protocols are designed to minimize that risk as much as possible. When you buy from Crystal Creek Koi Farm, you can be confident that your new fish has been raised in a controlled, disease-free environment from day one.
We believe that responsible koi keeping starts with responsible koi farming — and that's a standard we hold ourselves to every single day.
