Fire, Shadow, and Silver Light

The Gin Rin Showa is one of the most dramatic koi varieties in existence — and this 10"–12" Select specimen delivers that drama in full. A brilliant silver metallic base catches the light like a mirror, while deep crimson-red (hi) patches blaze across the body in bold, sweeping strokes. Black sumi overlays both the white and red areas, creating the complex three-color interplay that defines the Showa pattern. The Gin Rin (diamond-bright) scales amplify every color, making this fish shimmer and flash with every movement in the water.

Selected at the Select grade for its strong hi coverage, well-defined sumi, and the exceptional Gin Rin sparkle that elevates this fish well above the ordinary.

Care Notes

Gin Rin Showa are hardy, adaptable koi that thrive in well-maintained ponds with good filtration and water quality. Feed a color-enhancing diet like Blackwater Color Enhancing to deepen and maintain the red hi pattern. Minimum pond size of 1,000 gallons recommended.
