Liquid Fire with a Metallic Edge

The Kin Hi Utsuri is one of the most dramatic koi in the metallic family — a bold two-color fish with a deep black base and blazing red-orange (hi) markings, all wrapped in a golden metallic sheen that makes every color glow. This 10"–12" Premium specimen is a true pond centerpiece: intense, luminous, and impossible to miss.

Unlike the Matsuba varieties, the Kin Hi Utsuri carries bold, sweeping Utsuri-style black markings — not a pine-cone scale pattern — with the black wrapping the body and head in the classic Utsuri fashion. The metallic kin (gold) luster elevates the red and black into something that looks almost lit from within.

Note: Some of the darker areas visible in the product photo may appear more pronounced than they are in person — water reflections and lighting angle can intensify the appearance of black at certain angles. The fish's true pattern is best appreciated in the pond under natural light.
