The Kohaku is the most iconic koi variety in the world — and the butterfly fin expression takes that classic beauty to a whole new level. This 10"–12" Select Kohaku Butterfly features a vivid, deep red (hi) pattern over a crisp white (shiro) base, with long, flowing fins that billow dramatically through the water. The contrast is striking: fire-red body, snow-white fins, and the graceful, unhurried movement that only a butterfly koi can deliver.

Selected at the Select grade for its strong hi coverage, clean white base, and well-developed butterfly fin length — a fish that turns heads in any pond setting.

Care Notes

Kohaku Butterfly koi are hardy and adaptable, thriving in well-maintained ponds with good filtration and water quality. Feed a color-enhancing diet like Blackwater Color Enhancing to deepen and maintain the red hi pattern. Their long fins do best in clean, well-oxygenated water. Minimum pond size of 1,000 gallons recommended.
