Liquid Fire with a Metallic Edge

The Kin Hi Utsuri is one of the most dramatic koi in the metallic family — a bold fish with a blazing red-orange (hi) dominant base and sweeping black sumi patches, all wrapped in a golden metallic sheen that makes every color glow. This 10"–12" Select specimen is a striking example: intense fiery red covering the body and head, with bold black sumi patches in classic Utsuri fashion — on the body but not the head — and a luminous kin (gold) luster throughout.

Unlike the Kin Hi Showa, the head on this fish is clean red with no black — the defining trait of the Utsuri line. The red is the dominant force, with black patches adding bold contrast rather than wrapping the fish.
