10" Taisho Sanke Standard Fin Koi — Live Pond Fish [Select Grade]

A beautifully marked Taisho Sanke — one of the legendary Gosanke Big Three and among the most recognized koi varieties in the world. This fish displays the hallmark Sanke tri-color pattern: a bright, snow-white base with bold red-orange hi markings and precisely placed black sumi patches that add depth and contrast without overwhelming the pattern.

The sumi on this individual appears in clean, well-defined patches on the body — never on the head, as is characteristic of true Sanke — giving the fish a refined, graphic quality. The white ground is crisp and bright, the hi is rich and saturated, and the overall balance of the three colors is excellent for a fish at this size. A classic Sanke that will only improve with age as the pattern develops and the sumi deepens.
